Services
From the first match to the final notice.
Six areas, built as one chain: find the work, document it, act on it. Some parts are running in closed beta, others are still on the bench — each one says which below.
-
Semantic content monitoring
You register the works you want watched. We keep sweeping news sites, blogs, content platforms and open archives, matching on meaning rather than on exact wording — so paraphrase and translation do not slip through. In closed beta.
-
Infringement detection & reporting
Findings are ranked by similarity strength and by how much of the work was taken. Each report states what matched, how closely, and where the earliest known copy appeared. In closed beta.
-
Evidence files
Screenshots, archived copies, timestamps, server responses and the matching rationale are collected into a single file per case — built so your counsel can use it without reassembling anything. In development.
-
Takedown handling
Preparing and tracking notices to platforms, hosts and search engines, including DMCA and the equivalent local procedures. You see which notice went where and what came back. Planned for launch.
-
Brand & publication tracking
Beyond single works: monitoring for a publication, a catalogue or a brand as a whole, with periodic summaries instead of one-off alerts. Planned for launch.
-
API & integrations
Programmatic access for publishers and agencies that want matching inside their own editorial tools, with webhooks for new findings. On the roadmap.
How it runs
The shape of a case, start to finish
- 01 — RegisterYou submit the works to be monitored: files, links or a feed. Each one gets its semantic fingerprint.
- 02 — SweepSources are crawled on a schedule. Candidate matches are scored and the weak ones are dropped before they reach you.
- 03 — ReviewWhat survives lands in your queue with its evidence. You confirm, set aside, or mark it as licensed use.
- 04 — ActFor confirmed cases we prepare the notice and the file. Sending it — or not — stays your decision.
- 05 — Follow upResponses, removals and repeat appearances are tracked against the same case rather than opening a new one.
Pricing
Not published yet, and we would rather say so
Plans will go up with the launch. We are still working out how to scale them sensibly for a single author, a mid-size publisher and a rights agency without pretending those are the same customer.
During the closed beta we work with a small number of rights holders at no charge, in exchange for honest feedback about the findings and the evidence files. If that is interesting to you, write to us.
Semantic Copyright is a monitoring and documentation service. We do not provide legal representation; where a case needs it, we work alongside your own counsel.
