License for Intellectual Property Ontologies — Project Authors 3.0

1. Object and scope

1.1 This document sets out the legal terms of use applicable to the Ontologies, for works protected by intellectual property rights, created under the frame of the "Project Authors 3.0", funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain within the "Plan Avanza 2009-2010".

1.2 This license shall apply to the final codification of the Ontologies, their specifications, conceptual maps, terms or objects, developed by the Department of Artificial Intelligence of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Safe Creative, SL (hereinafter, the Rightholders), as published at http://www.semanticcopyright.org. You accept the terms and conditions of this license and become a Licensee when accessing, downloading and/or using these contents.

1.3 The abovementioned contents are protected by national laws and international treaties on intellectual property and, when applicable, are duly registered.

2. Permitted uses

2.1 The Licensee is authorized to use any of the elements described in 1.2 above, on a non-exclusive basis, with no territorial or temporal limitation of any kind, whether for profit or for free, therefore allowing their reproduction, distribution and public communication, if the following conditions are met:

  • You must include a mention or reference to the "Project Authors 3.0", "Plan Avanza" and the holders of the intellectual property rights.
  • You must include the full text of this license, otherwise you must include a hypertext link to https://www.semanticcopyright.org/license
  • You must outline the changes or extensions made on the original ontology, and must apply the terms and conditions established in this license to such results.
  • You must communicate such changes or additions to the Rightholders via email.

2.2 This assignment is not transferable. 2.3 This license shall not imply a commitment or undertaking of compliance with Semantic Copyright's standards or principles, nor recognition by such platform or its members.

3. Warranties and liability

3.1 The contents controlled by this license have no specific purpose beyond providing a tool to systematize and represent information regarding a work protected by intellectual property rights, its author or right holders, and the rights concerning such work.

3.2 To the extent permitted by law, the Rightholders do not guarantee in any way, either explicitly or implicitly, the performance or results that can be obtained by the licensee for a particular purpose, nor the veracity, currency or accuracy of the information entered by the users of the Ontologies, nor the interoperability with third-party systems or applications.
